Course Outline

Part 1: Three 2-Hour Sessions (6 Hours in Total): These 6 hours are dedicated to increasing your fluency with the 8 ICF Core competencies as well as identifying your signature presence as a coach. Activities Include:

  • Discussing exercises from a digital Participant Workbook:

    • Module 1: Starting and Ending Strong

    • Module 2: Powerful Listening & Powerful Questions

    • Module 3: Your Unique Presence as a Coach

  • 1 Hour reviewing a recorded coaching demo

Part 2: Four 1:1 Sessions (4 Hours Total): At each of these four sessions, you will bring a recorded coaching demo for review and discussion. The final session will include written feedback.

What to Expect

    • Improve your skill in practicing the 8 core competencies

    • Increase your confidence in coaching using your unique style

    • Design a customized plan for increasing your impact as a coach

    • Receive feedback that will help you prepare to apply for a credential with ICF

    • 6 hours with a mentor coach reviewing the core competencies.

    • Four 1:1 sessions with a mentor coach, receiving feedback on a coaching demo and identifying next steps for growth

    • Submit one word-for-word transcript that receives written feedback across all 8 competencies

    • Live, virtual instruction (Zoom)

    • Over a 3-month minimum, 6-month maximum

    • 10 Sessions 1:1 with a Mentor Coach – you will schedule the dates together

Course Outline:

Each of the three 2-hour-long sessions (6 hours in total) and four hour-long sessions (4 hours in total) is scheduled between you and the mentor coach. In compliance with ICF requirements, you cannot complete the course in fewer than three (3) months or longer than six (6) months.

This course meets the ICF required 10 hours of mentor coaching.
