On Power, and our Current Relationship With It
A career in mental health care is a career in wielding power as our clients put their vulnerability into our hands.
To do responsibly, we must regularly examine the ways in which we are viewing our clients, our roles, and the theme of power with them. Even deeper, we must examine the ways in which power was used with us throughout our lives, and how we that legacy comes with us into our therapy rooms. Join us tonight for a (necessarily) intense discussion on one of the biggest themes of our work. We'll meet at 41 Erb St East, walk to dinner and walk back for our discussion.
Facilitator: Raechel Pefanis
When: Saturday, April 4, 6pm-9pm
Where: McCabe's Irish Pub, uptown King Stret, then back to 41 Erb Street (COP Hub)
Cost: Your meal (LG nights are a free event)
