A career in mental health care is a career in wielding power as our clients put their vulnerability into our hands.
To do responsibly, we must regularly examine the ways in which we are viewing our clients, our roles, and the theme of power with them. Even deeper, we must examine the ways in which power was used with us throughout our lives, and how we that legacy comes with us into our therapy rooms. Join us tonight for a (necessarily) intense discussion on one of the biggest themes of our work. We'll meet at 41 Erb St East, walk to dinner and walk back for our discussion.
Where: McCabe's Irish Pub, uptown King Stret, then back to 41 Erb Street (COP Hub)
Cost: Your meal (LG nights are a free event)
**Please RSVP for the reservation
Small Group Supervision
4 Week Supervision Group for New Practitioners
The supervision needs of those new to the field are clear and specific: to get out of the "Imposter" mentality, and into a sense of confidence. This supervision group is reserved for new practitioners, meaning those in their first 5 years / 2000 hours of direct clinical practice. Each practitioner will bring a case to support our learning, which we will use to address some of the most common struggles experienced at the start of a career in our field.
