Yes, there is a "type" of person that cannot be a good therapist: those that deny their own wounds, burns and scars.
If we do this work long enough, we learn that our own deep humanity can lead to either a more genuine and informed use of self...of cause complicated interference and countertransference in our client encounters. Tonight, we'll look at how our own painful experiences can become not just an informed part of practice, but the source of deep humanity and service as we do so.
