Coaching for Emotional Intelligence

What exactly is emotional intelligence?

Simply put, it is the ability to recognize, understand and manage your emotions; as well as being able to recognize, understand and influence the emotions of others.

Research suggests that emotional intelligence is a better predictor of career success than an impressive résumé or a high IQ score.  Due to their awareness of how emotions affect actions and decision making, people with high degree of emotional intelligence are easily able to take the perspective of others making them excellent collaborators,  persuasive leaders and compassionate coworkers.

Coaching for emotional intelligence starts with taking inventory of the following 4 domains: self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness and relationship management.  Together we may explore areas where people are hooked or stuck.  We'll learn to challenge habitual patterns of responding to develop these new skills and cultivate deeper relationships.
