Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

It is about you taking your pain by the scruff of its neck...rather than the other way around. Some common events that indicate that trauma therapy may be needed are: 

  • If you have experienced neglect, invisibility, abuse, or high stress during your formative years

  • If you have been exposed to people who humiliated / degraded you

  • If you have had to endure situations of violence, tragedy, disaster, or threats to your safety

  • If you have been forced to watch people abuse other people

People who have lived with trauma have often come to live with its effects as "normal." But, it is not. There is a life of vibrancy and health on the other side of trauma.
